Burkina Faso

In the Po-Nazinga-Sissili protected areas complex, we support local communities, particularly young people and women, in developing sustainable livelihoods (beekeeping, meliponiculture, agroforestry, market gardening) in order to improve their incomes. 

At the same time, we contribute to environmental conservation and regeneration through participatory management plans and support for the classification of Corridor No. 1, which allows animals, particularly elephants, to move from one reserve to another.  

As a university-based NGO, Ucoopia integrates research and knowledge sharing: diagnostic studies, master’s theses, and doctoral dissertations propose innovative solutions to the issues encountered in the region.
