Bolivia

In Bolivia, since 2008, Ucoopia has been working with its local partners to build the capacity of farming families and support them in exercising their rights to food sovereignty and the management of their land.  

We support local communities in the agroecological transition, the sustainable management of natural resources – particularly water –, land-use planning, the empowerment of women and the commercial promotion of local, sustainable and fair-trade products.  

At the same time, we are committed to advocacy and consultation amongst stakeholders in order to bring about changes in public policy that support family farming and strengthen democracy.
