In Peru, since 1998, Ucoopia has been supporting farming families in implementing agroecological practices, while strengthening their capacity to defend their land and food rights. We assist them with land use planning, sustainable management of natural resources (including water resources), and the transition to more resilient production systems.
We also support agricultural innovation, the processing and marketing of local products, while promoting the participation of women and young people.
Finally, we carry out advocacy work at the local and national levels to strengthen the rights of rural communities.
