Benin

In Benin, since 2014, Ucoopia has been promoting agroecological transition, economic autonomy for communities, and resilience in the face of climate challenges

We particularly support the professional integration of young people and women by supporting their initiatives in agriculture, livestock farming, and renewable energy. Our actions promote the creation of sustainable jobs and the agroecological transition of family farms, particularly in the corn, sweet potato, and cashew nut sectors.

We are working to strengthen climate resilience by integrating agriculture, livestock farming, and forestry, while improving food and nutritional security. We are also implementing activities to improve sustainable natural resource management and mangrove protection.

Finally, we contribute to protecting the environment and improving household health by distributing improved cooking stoves.
