Background
Food security, agroecology, and access to natural resources are major challenges for many communities in our partner countries. We therefore support an agroecological and social transition that respects environmental balances while strengthening food sovereignty and the autonomy of populations.
Our actions focus on the following areas:
- Food security & sustainable production: adapting crop and livestock farming systems to climate change.
- Agroecology: promoting environmentally friendly agricultural practices that benefit producers
- Sustainable resource management: preservation and restoration of soil and forests, responsible use of water, and mitigation of the effects of climate change.
- Basic infrastructure: support for the management of health, agricultural, water, and electrical infrastructure.
