Sarah Léonard

Withadegree in international relations, my voluntary work at Ucoopia gave me a practical insight into how the NGO sector and development cooperation work. Keen to gain some initial professional experience, I became actively involved in several projects within the ECMS team.

In particular, I helped draft responses to calls for proposals, in collaboration with international partners, and organised the Cooperation Games. These experiences enabled me to develop my skills in communication, logistics and project management, whilst discovering the benefits of networking with other stakeholders in the sector.

As part of a welcoming and collaborative team, I found the experience both enriching and formative; it has strengthened my interest in the voluntary sector and confirmed my ambition to pursue a career in NGOs.
