Nadeige Vandewalle

I am completing my Master’s degree in bioengineering in forest and natural space management, specializing in tropical ecosystems, and I traveled to Senegal to do my end-of-study internship with ULB-Coopération. My internship was part of a project to develop the beekeeping industry on the outskirts of Niokolo Koba National Park. I spent a little over two months there and had the opportunity to do both fieldwork and data analysis, which was exactly what I had hoped for. In addition to the professional experience I gained, this internship also helped me grow as a person, as I was constantly outside my comfort zone.

Thank you to ULB-Coopération Sénégal for allowing me to do my internship. I can’t wait to go back.
