Fatima AZDINE
As part of my master’s degree in public health, I completed an internship at Ucoopia with the goal of applying my knowledge of health systems and policies in a real-world, complex setting such as North Kivu in the DRC.
I worked on a knowledge-sharing initiative centered on the North Kivu Health Observatory, analyzing documents and conducting interviews with key stakeholders. This work gave me a better understanding of the dynamics of collaboration and the role of data in strengthening the health system.
This experience was particularly rewarding, especially thanks to my interactions with professionals in the field, who gave me a concrete and human perspective on public health issues. I also gained a better understanding of the role that a university-based NGO plays in cooperation and development.
This internship reaffirmed my interest in the nonprofit sector and public health cooperation, and inspired me to pursue a career in this field by contributing to projects that make a tangible difference.
