Auguste Therasse Emmanuela

As an intern studying for a bachelor’s degree in social ecology, I was keen to contribute to the projects and initiatives being carried out, while enriching my professional and personal skills in a practical and committed environment. This experience was a valuable opportunity to link my theoretical knowledge to rewarding practical application.

During my internship, I worked on evaluation forms, case studies, and the summary guide for Cooperation Games. I also co-hosted a presentation on Service Learning. In addition, I provided support in analyzing the place of Cuban culture within Erin Meyer’s Culture Map and helped organize a half-day event on food sovereignty (DJESA). I particularly enjoyed preparing the Cooperation Games and using the Canva tool to visualize the progress of projects.

My time at ULB-Coopération will remain a memorable experience, not only because of the interesting nature of the mission, but also because of the friendly atmosphere within the team. This immersion reinforced my desire to get involved in meaningful projects with a positive impact, while confirming the importance of collaborative work in this sector.

This internship confirmed my interest in the world of associations and international cooperation. Although this sector is extremely rewarding, it requires careful consideration before fully committing to it, as it involves complex issues. However, this is precisely the path I plan to follow in the long term. I am convinced that international cooperation is an essential lever for generating lasting change. This experience at ULB-Coopération has not only allowed me to refine my understanding of these dynamics, but also to strengthen my determination to evolve in this field with a full awareness of the realities on the ground.
