Audrey Chauvin

I am in my third year of a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Leisure Management and I had the opportunity to undertake my internship in communications and events at Ucoopia. Before I started, my main hope was to join a supportive environment, made up of people who shared my values, whilst gaining a more practical understanding of the field of international cooperation. This experience fully met my expectations and gave me a better understanding of how the voluntary sector operates on a day-to-day basis.

During my internship, I worked on a wide variety of tasks. I helped with the marketing for the Coopération Games by creating content for social media, as well as posters and flyers. I also helped with the translation of the website, the layout of various projects and the mapping of initiatives carried out in Senegal. These tasks allowed me to develop my communication skills whilst learning about practical projects related to international solidarity.

One of the most memorable experiences of my internship was organising the launch event for Ucoopia. For several months, I was able to follow the project closely, attend meetings, coordinate various service providers, suggest ideas and find solutions to unexpected issues. Thanks to the team’s support, I learnt a great deal about event organisation and all the preparatory work required to ensure an event runs smoothly.
