Ethics and Integrity 

At Ucoopia, ethics and integrity are essential foundations of our work.

As heirs to the demanding practices of ULB-Coopération and Eclosio, we place transparency, accountability, and respect for people at the heart of our commitments. We strive to protect the most vulnerable, particularly minors and people exposed to unequal power relations. 


By integrating these practices, Ucoopia is committed to building development cooperation based on trust, exemplary behavior, and shared responsibility—essential conditions for generating fair and sustainable change. 

Reference framework 

Our charters, codes of conduct, and codes of ethics define the values we uphold, the behaviors we expect, and those we prohibit.

These guidelines apply to everyone involved in our activities: employees, volunteers, board members, interns, and partners. 

Prevention and control 

  • We provide regular awareness training for our teams and partners in order to strengthen our culture of integrity. 
  • Governance, administration, internal control, and reporting mechanisms ensure the sound management of resources and the quality of actions. 
  • Specific measures are in place to prevent, detect, and manage situations involving fraud, corruption, abuse of power, harassment, or physical and psychological harm. 
  • An ethics committee and integrity officers ensure rigorous, independent monitoring of integrity-related issues and complaints. 

Reporting procedures 

  • Anyone (beneficiary, partner, or employee) who observes or experiences a breach of integrity has secure and confidential channels through which to inform the organization.
