Floriane Ahouanmenou

As an agricultural engineer and Master’s student in project management at Senghor University in Alexandria, I chose to do a professional discovery internship at ULB-Coopération in order to better understand how NGOs work and gain practical experience in project management.

During my internship, I participated in the monitoring and evaluation of projects within the SAD-GRN program, conducting field visits, interviewing beneficiaries, writing reports, and contributing to project development. A particularly memorable moment was my participation in a mission with our partner APAF, where I was able to directly observe the implementation of agroecological practices and talk with families and women’s groups involved in the agroecological transition.

I really appreciated the collaborative and supportive spirit of the team, who welcomed me with open arms and gave me real responsibilities. This internship allowed me to connect my knowledge of agronomy to the concrete evaluation of field projects, and reinforced my desire to work in international cooperation, particularly in monitoring, evaluation, and management of projects related to agriculture and conservation.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to ULB-Coopération for this formative experience, which will remain an important milestone in my career.
