Education for global citizenship and solidarity (Uni4coop)
A five-year program to enable future professionals to become aware of their role in society and their power to act to build a more sustainable and egalitarian society.
Ucoopia, as part of the Uni4Coop consortium, has set itself the task of promoting critical thinking about power relations within the academic community and higher education institutions, particularly among students. By “power relations,” we mean, for example, gender inequality, racism, and the abusive exploitation of natural resources and human beings. Ucoopia aims to help its target audience identify the systemic and structural mechanisms behind these forms of domination, as well as the various individual and collective levers that can be used to curb them.
In concrete terms, we empower students who want to get involved in social issues by improving their project management skills and their awareness of global issues through networking with the non-profit sector and sharing thematic resources.

For example, training in the use of educational tools such as “Partir ou Rester” (Leave or Stay) created by SCI on the theme of migration, collective intelligence and shared governance for student organizations, or even finding subsidies for small organizations and setting up advocacy initiatives aimed at universities. Please feel free to contact the project managers to find out more about the training courses that are available.
- Support institutional decision-makers in integrating ECMS into curricula by providing advice on topics, teaching methods, etc.
- Facilitate networking between university stakeholders and marginalized stakeholders (people belonging to a society marginalized by the Western world, or individuals or groups marginalized within Western society itself due to their race, gender, and/or social status).
- Train and support students participating in mobility programs or international projects, through collaboration with ARES–CCD.
