Our university identity
Ucoopia is a Belgian university NGO for international cooperation, born from the merger of Eclosio and ULB-Coopération. Supported by ULiège and ULB, its founding universities, and joined by UMONS, Ucoopia has become Europe’sleading inter-university NGO.
At the crossroads of academic research, field action, and civic engagement, Ucoopia develops innovative and sustainable projects with its partners, rooted in local realities. It promotes scientific and community-based knowledge to address major global issues.
Ucoopia is also a space for university engagement, promoting action research, international mobility, and the sharing of knowledge in all its forms.

Our methodology
At Ucoopia, each project is fertile ground where research and action come together. It is in this dynamic that useful, innovative, and reality-based knowledge is born.
Our academic collaborations
Ucoopia is also a platform for university engagement: action research projects, internships and fieldwork, civic education initiatives on campuses, and more. All of these collaborations are implemented with our partner universities.
Continuing education
Eclosio (the founding entity of Ucoopia) is recognized in Continuing Education for Focus Area 1, Participation, Education, and Citizen Training. In Belgium, we implement inclusive actions, both in their approach and in the knowledge they mobilize and the involvement of those who possess it (scientists and non-scientists alike).
