Offer a future of solidarity through your legacy

The different options for supporting Ucoopia

  1. The traditional legacy

You designate Ucoopia as the beneficiary of part of your assets in your will.

    This can take several forms:

    • Universal legacy: all of your assets are bequeathed to Ucoopia.
    • Universal legacy: you bequeath a specific portion of your estate (a percentage, a type of asset, etc.).
    • Specific bequest: you bequeath a specific asset (sum of money, house, jewelry, work of art, etc.).
  2. The joint legacy

If you have no direct heirs and wish to leave your estate to a charity and a friend or distant relative, while avoiding high inheritance taxes, a dual legacy is an excellent option. Your estate is divided into two parts: one for your loved ones, the other for Ucoopia. As a recognized association, we benefit from a more advantageous inheritance tax rate. We therefore take care of all inheritance taxes, which significantly increases the share that goes to your loved ones.

  3. Life insurance

You can name Ucoopia as the beneficiary (total or partial) of your life insurance policy. It’s simple, quick, and does not require you to change your will.

3 good reasons to leave a legacy to Ucoopia

  1. A lasting impact

We work hand in hand with local communities to ensure that projects are relevant and sustainable: improving health, boosting incomes, protecting the environment, civic education, etc.

  2. Actions based on knowledge

As a university NGO, Ucoopia draws on scientific research, local knowledge, and innovation to design its projects. By leaving a legacy to ULB-Coopération, you are helping to strengthen this valuable link between the academic world and the field.

  3. Optimal use of your donations

We ensure that your donation is used in the best possible way: for every euro received, 90 cents goes directly to our projects. This is much more than most “large” NGOs. We control our personnel and operating costs, including communication, to maximize the budgets available in the field and the impact of our projects.
